Our program is modeled after Robert Greenleaf’s Servant Leadership philosophy, which places the growth and development of others front and center. According to Greenleaf,

The servant-leader is servant first. It begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve. Then conscious choice brings one to aspire to lead. The best test is: do those served grow as persons: do they, while being served, become healthier, wiser, freer, more autonomous, more likely themselves to become servants? And, what is the effect on the least privileged in society; will they benefit, or, at least, not be further deprived?

Self-reflection is key:

Once participants discover why they want to lead, understand the components of effective leadership, and visualize the leader they wish to become, they develop extraordinary leadership capabilities centered around their personal values, beliefs, and purpose — and inspire others to do the same. This lays the foundation for an exceptional organization grounded in continual learning.

Typical training programs take a passive approach, providing information to the participant and assuming they have the motivation and skills to implement this knowledge when they return to the workplace. But you know what they say about assuming! By contrast, the Logos Leadership development program engages participants through real-world examples and group discussions — an approach that provides leadership insights and tactics meaningful to their daily lives.

Active engagement allows the participant to successfully implement those skills in the workplace, resulting in meaningful and enduring improvements in leadership capability. Through self-reflection, collaboration with other attendees, and valuable feedback, participants discover the authentic servant leader hidden within. Armed with this insight, they’ll have the tools and desire to foster workplace conditions that allow leaders and followers alike to reach their full potential.
